hi there parents!

So glad you’re here, I’m Marcia Church, an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and a mother of two.

After raising my own two small children during a global pandemic, I’ve gained an immense amount of respect for all of us as parents. But beyond my respect for you, my passion is coming alongside you

to empower and educate you.

Marcia Church, M.A., CCC-SLP

I graduated with my Bachelor’s & Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from Kent State University in 2007. I worked as an SLP across the country in school districts, home health, and private practice before having my first child. When my son was born, life changed and evolved and I chose to stay home with him. But just as the ‘work’ portion of my life went on hold, my interest for all things parenting and development began.

Pediatric Speech Stars is the combination of my 10+ years of experience as a licensed Speech Pathologist mixed with the knowledge and skillset I have acquired parenting my own two children.

I chose this career because I was so committed to helping children. But now that I’m a parent, that commitment has gone from helping children, to helping children AND their parents.

  • I don't even know where to begin!! I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Marcia! She is a phenomenal speech therapist and a good friend. In the time she was our therapist, she saw my children and our foster children and they all loved and adored her. Before Marcia...our kids struggled with pronunciation and stuttering.   • We have loved our time spent with Pediatric Speech Stars! Miss Marcia always showed up on time and with a smile! She somehow made learning something that normally would be frustrating for a child, fun and exciting. After each session, our son was always so proud to show me what he had learned! She also left us each session with easy homework that helped us become part of his growing process. We were able to easily incorporate his practice words in to his nightly routine!

  • The best speech therapist. My child improved so much that he nolonger needed speech and she had to discharge him. We were so sad to see her go. Marcia set the bar for what I now look for and expect out of all my child's teachers and therapists. Very professional, kept me informed, showed me things we could do at home and worked on real world problems. She is down to earth and fun to work with. I recommend her to another parent. She was a blessing to have in my home and a wonderful person.

  • We noticed our son was showing some regression in his speech just before his second birthday and Marcia was my first call. I’ve been involved in just about every in-home session. We have also involved grandparents for some sessions so that we can all be on one accord with the home programming. It’s been absolutely amazing! My son is making great progress and loves Ms. Marcia so much. I could not imagine working with anyone else.

  • My four year old daughter started Speech Therapy in June with Marcia and has greatly improved since. I am able to understand her better and she even corrects her words on her own now. Marcia was able to teach her the correct pronunciations in a fun and engaging way via teletherapy. Marcia provided an easy and effective home program that worked so well for us. We are thankful for all the progress our daughter experienced through Speech Therapy with Marcia.
